Louise M. Jardin, 73, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of Edmund J. Jardin, Sr. for 51 years until his passing in 2013.
Louise was born in Lowell on August 5, 1942, a daughter of the late Ruby (Eaton) and Walton Harris. She attended Dracut schools and was a 1961 graduate of Dracut High School.
Mrs. Jardin worked at Millipore Corporation for many years.
She enjoyed taking trips with her late husband, Edmund, to Lake George, Cape Cod, and Salisbury and Hampton Beaches. She also enjoyed spending time in their garden, enjoying each other's company and nature. Her favorite color was pink and she especially enjoyed the roses Ed had planted.
Louise was an avid reader and loved to play Bingo. She also enjoyed celebrating the Holidays with her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Mom was one of the nicest and also one of the strongest women we have ever known.
She is survived by her five children, Edmund J. Jardin, Jr. of Lowell, MA, Luanne Mulligan and her husband, Michael of Windham, NH, Nancy Greco of Lowell, Pamela Nison of Lowell, Carolyn Young and her husband, Steven of Townsend; four grandchildren, Philip Greco, Connor, Colin, and Taryn Mulligan; brother Ronald Harris and his wife, Natholyn of FL; sisters, Marilyn Harris and Valorie Harris of Dracut; brothers-in-law, Gerald Jardin and his wife, Rosana, Joseph Rowe and his wife, Deborah, James Rowe, Kevin Rowe and his wife, Loreen, sister-in-law, Mary Rowe, all of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Harris, Kenneth Harris and sister-in-law, Joanne Harris; mother-in-law, Marion Rowe, father-in-law, Raymond R. Rowe, Sr., and brother-in-law, Raymond R. Rowe, Jr.
A special thank you to caregivers and special friends, Nadia, Destiny, Amanda, Michelle, Krystal, and junior caregiver, Chilie, who provided excellent care to Mom.
Mom you have completed your incredible journey. May you and Dad rest in peace.
