Louis Anthony Martino

Dracut - Louis Anthony Martino, 73, husband of June (Ducharme) Ogden Martino, a recent resident of Dracut, but formerly of Tewksbury for the past twenty years, died Thursday March 10, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence following an extended illness.
Born in Lowell on September 7, 1931, a son of the late Louis and Margaret (Boyle) Martino, he was a 1950 graduate of Lowell High School, where he played trumpet in the band and was the quarterback of the football team. He and his teammates were state champions in 1948 and 1949 and played in the Memorial Bowl in Bogalusa, MS and the Gator Bowl in FL, respectively.
Mr. Martino was employed for many years at the Courier Citizen in Lowell and retired from General Motors in Framingham.
He was a communicant of St. Williams Church in Tewksbury.
Surviving him besides his wife are a son and daughter in law, Daniel and Kathi Martino of Lancaster, CA; four daughters and two sons in law Katie Racicot and Christopher Landry of Nashua, NH, Maura Martino-Ingram of Nashua, NH, Donna and Robert Connolly of Tewksbury, Colleen and David Moulds of Milford, VA; a daughter in law, Rita (Vitins) Martino of Wrentham; four stepsons, Harry Ogden of Dracut, David and Lizeth Ogden of Tyngsboro, Scott and Mary Ogden of Tewksbury, Paul and Pam Ogden of Tewksbury; three brothers and sisters in law, Albert and Delores Martino of Salem, NH Henry and Delores Martino of Farmington, NH, Richard and Nancy Martino of Windham, NH; and a sister Gloria Poirier of Newburyport; seven grandchildren, Jason Martino, Amanda (Martino) Westerby, Erik Martino, Sean and James Louis Connolly, Brian and Michaela Ingram; seventeen step grandchildren, Michael, Jeffery, Robert, Lindsay, Kelly, John, Ashley, Colleen, David, Erika, Joseph, and Jennifer Ogden, Scott and Mark Racicot, Benjamin, Kristen and Karrie Judge; seven great grandchildren; his former wife Kathryn (Kennedy) Martino of Nashua, NH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also the father of the late Brian Louis Martino and father in law of the late Charles Racicot.
