PELHAM, NH - Lorraine D. (Thellen) Soucy, 88, a resident of Pelham, NH and former resident of Lowell died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Willow Manor in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Soucy, who died in 1984.
She was born in Lowell on March 7, 1929, and was a daughter of the late Edmour and Alice (Aupry) Thellen. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Lorraine was employed for many years as a Certified Nurse's Aide by the E.N. Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital in Bedford.
She loved to dine out and eating anything chocolate. She also enjoyed watching television, especially golf, the food channel, and game shows.
Lorraine was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham, NH.
She was a former member of the Centralville Senior Citizen Club and she enjoyed her time spent at the Smith Baker Center and the Salvation Army of Greater Lowell.
Lorraine is survived by three sons, Paul Soucy and his wife Pikul of Gilbert, AZ, Dennis Soucy and his wife Debra of Margate, FL, and Russell Soucy and his wife Joanne of Pelham, NH; two daughters, Rolande Soucy of Bridgewater, MA and Mary Soucy of Southern Pines, NC; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Bastien of Dracut, MA and Claudette Rondeau and her husband Roland of Tyngsboro, MA; four sisters-in-law, Julie Thellen of Lowell, wife of the late Ronald Thellen, Kay Thellen of Tampa, FL, wife of the late Robert Thellen, Grace Thellen of Iowa, LA, wife of the late Norman Thellen, and Patricia Thellen of Lowell, wife of the late Richard Thellen; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the dear friend of the late Fred Bellemare.
