Lorraine L. (Landry) Coughlin

Lorraine L. (Landry) Coughlin, 89, died Friday, September 30, 2022 at D’Youville Senior Care. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Coughlin until his passing in 1985.

Born in Lowell on January 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alexandrine (Theriault) and Albert Landry. She was raised and educated in Lowell. She worked for Honeywell Electronics for many years prior to retiring.

Lorraine was very involved in the Dracut, Chelmsford and Lowell Senior Centers. She loved playing bingo at all of them and was a TOPS member in Chelmsford. Lorraine also enjoyed going to the casino. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her family.

Lorraine is survived and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Cynthia Monteiro de Castro of Dracut and Linda Hall and her husband Roger of Ossipee, NH; her son, Thomas Coughlin of Chelmsford; her twelve grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Warren Goddard of Portsmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was the mother of her two late sons, John and Stephen Coughlin and her daughter, Mary Golio; as well as the baby of the family and the last of her nine late siblings, Imelda Latour, Florence Sevigny, Blanche Boucher, Rita LaDuc, Bertha Penkofski, Yvonne Goddard, Wilfred Landry, Edgar Landry and Donald Landry.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lorraine’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Lowell. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
