Lorraine A. (Ouellette) Janowicz

January 25, 1924 — April 6, 2011

Lorraine Alice (Ouellette) Janowicz, 87, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday April 6, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Stanley J. Janowicz who died April 4, 1994.
Born in Lowell on January 25, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Paul J. and Christine E. (Ducharme) Ouellette.
Lorraine attended St. Louis Elementary School and graduated from St. Louis Academy. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a former member of the League of Catholic Women. She was also a former Girl Scout leader for many years.
Lorraine was a model mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her life was devoted to her family. Her loving nature, kindness and patience were passed on to her six children, eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Carole and Joe Sargent of Lowell, Theresa Carrier of Yarmouth, Francis and Mary Janowicz of Hampstead, NH, Robert Janowicz of Lowell, Ronald and Debora Janowicz of Plaistow, NH, John and Marge Janowicz of Lowell; three siblings and their spouses, Pauline Coffey of Lowell, Normand and Fleurette Ouellette of Nashua, NH, Roger and Madeline Ouellette of Woburn; eighteen grandchildren, Jennifer Desmond and her husband, Kevin, Rebecca Meade, and her husband, Brian, Kara , Joey, Alyssa, Dan and Katie Sargent, Adam and Damien Janowicz, Veronica Newton and her husband, Justin, Kelsey and Kristen Janowicz, Alison Carrier, Jason Carrier and his wife, Tasha, Christopher, Alicia , Tyler and Emily Janowicz; three great grandchildren, Abigail and Brady Meade and Alden Carrier; three sisters-in-law, Helen Baribeault, Victoria Pelletier and Murielle Ouellette all of Dracut; a brother-in-law, Konstanty Janowicz of Dracut; many nieces and nephews. She was the former mother-in-law of John Carrier of North Yarmouth. She sorely will be missed by all.
She was the sister of the late Rev. Lionel P. Ouellette, Reginald E. Ouellette, Therese Ouellette and Rudolphe "Red" Ouellette .
