Loretta B. Young

Loretta B. "Woody" Young, 75, a longtime Dracut resident died Monday June 29, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell on October 19, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Leo J. Young, Sr. and Florence M. (Boucher) Young.

For many years, Loretta was employed as a shift Supervisor by M/A-COM.

Woody was an extreme sports enthusiast, having been a major Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed bowling and cribbage and was a member of the comedy group called The Bleacher Bums.

Survivors include her siblings, Phyllis D. McCarthy and her husband, Paul of Dracut; Leo J. Young, Jr. and his wife, Jean of Lowell; Roger P. Young and his wife, Diane of Manchester, NH; Bryan W. Young and his wife, Laurie of Plaistow, NH; several nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Richard L. Young.
