Loretta Howard

Loretta (Normandin) (Roper) Howard, 87, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Howard, until his passing in 2017.

Born in Lowell, MA on June 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Blanche (St. Onge) and Clovis J. Normandin. Prior to her retirement, Loretta was a longtime employee of Anton’s Cleaners and a housekeeping manager at the Radisson Hotel.

Loretta will be missed for her love to laugh and great sense of humor. She enjoyed watching her mystery programs, playing the slot machines and most would agree she was Elvis’ #1 fan.

She had an immense love for her family and could often be found on the computer connecting and keeping up with their ever changing, fast-paced lives.

Loretta is survived by her two children, Kathleen Reynolds and her husband John and David Roper and his wife Maureen; her grandchildren, John (JJ), Corey, Derek, Ashley, Cam, Shayna, McKenna, Trevor and Olivia; her great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ava, Aria, Annalise, Lila, James, Janiyah and Jayce; her sister, Gloria Mazza; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was mother of the late Kevin Roper and Raymond Howard and sister of the late Raymond and Maurice Normandin.

Relatives and friends are invited to Loretta’s Life Celebration on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4 until 6 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following at 6 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
