Loretta R. (Frechette) Geoffroy, 86, wife of the late Omer J. Geoffroy, died unexpectedly Friday January 2, 2009 at her Lowell residence.
Born in Lowell on April 26, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie Louise (Boissonneault) Frechette.
Loretta attended Lowell schools.
She was a retiree of Merrimack Magnetics of Lowell and had also been employed by Town and Country Nursing Home.
She enjoyed listening to music at The Sea Shell at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire and liked to listen to WCAP.
She leaves behind three daughters and sons in law, Lorraine R. and James D. Keys of Lowell, Priscilla T. and Timothy A. Barry of Merrimac, Louise J. and Steve Honey of Pleasantville, NY; three sons and two daughters in law, Robert O. Geoffroy of Londonderry, NH, Donald D. and Carmen Geoffroy of Nutley, NJ, Leo M. and Patricia Geoffroy of Carlisle; a brother, Marcel Frechette of Tyngsboro; two sisters, Imelda Chandonnet of Lowell, Theresa Larose of Dracut; 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters in law, Rita Frechette, Maurice Matte, Leo Courtemanche, Irene and Frank Sleeper.
She was a sister of the late Sylvio, Roger, Romeo and Gerard Frechette, Gertrude Lacourse, Jeannette Courtemanche, and Lorraine Matte.
