Lisa J. Thune

Lisa J. Thune, 54, of Newburyport, passed away on January 25, 2015 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell on November 14, 1960, she was a daughter of Janice (Molloy) Paige of Londonderry, NH who survives her.

Lisa was a certified and licensed food manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

She loved animals and found great peace spending time amongst nature while feeding the ducks at Frog Pond in Newburyport.

In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her sons, Joseph T. Leary and his wife, Leda of Lynn; Timothy Leary and his wife, Maria of Kannapolis, NC; four grandchildren, Olivia, Joseph, Jeremiah and Emmaree Leary; a sister, Julie Whitcher and her husband, Charles of Deerfield, NH; her niece and nephews, Kimberly Strong, Paul Strong, Shawn Strong, Eric Strong, Michael Strong and Matthew Dalton; and a longtime companion, John Huyzk of Newburyport. She was the sister of the late Janice Strong and aunt of the late Andrew Strong.
