Lowell – Lionel H. Bonin, a lifelong Lowell resident, the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth H. (Lussier) Bonin, died Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Westford House. He was 94.
He was born in Lowell on October 5, 1916, a son of the late Anthyme and Claudia (Gendreau) Bonin.
Prior to his retirement, Lionel worked for many years as an electrician at a local textile mill.
He was a life member of the East End Club. Lionel enjoyed his family, and was happiest at Christmas when his whole family was together. He recently told his family how proud he was to become a great great grandfather.
Survivors include two daughters , Louise E. Goding of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Janet M. Foote of Lowell and a son in law Ronald Foote; six grandchildren, Anne Scanlon of Lowell and husband Tom, Thomas Goding of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Christine Therrien and husband Rob, Karen Foote, Michelle Foote both of Lowell and Kevin Foote and wife Diane of Lowell; eleven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father in law of the late David I. Goding.
