Linda C. (Whiting) Wingate

LOWELL - Linda C. ((Whiting) Wingate, 74, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Norman C. Wingate, with whom she spent the last 24 years.
Born in Lowell on February 27, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth P. and Helen (Hedrick) Whiting.
Linda attended Lowell Schools and began her career in healthcare at the Tewksbury State Hospital as an LPN. She became an RN after further education specializing in substance abuse and mental health care. She had also worked at Solomon Mental Health Center and as a Visiting Nurse.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods with her husband Norman.
In addition to her husband Norman she leaves three sons, Eric Gawlik and his wife Zoe of Derry, NH, Sean Gawlik of Bethlehem, NH and Christopher Gawlik of Lowell; a step-daughter, Traci Wingate of NC; a brother, Philip Whiting and his wife Donna of GA; a sister-in-law, Barbara Whiting of Hudson, NH; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, Ronald and Richard Whiting.
Relatives and friends are invited to Linda's Memorial Visitation on Monday, June 28, from 4 until 7 pm at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street.
