Linda L. (Mason) Pernia

Dracut - Linda L. (Mason) Pernia, wife of Phillip G. Pernia, passed away in her sleep on Monday, October 11, 2021, at her Dracut residence. She was 74.

Born at the Lowell General Hospital on April 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Richard P. Mason and Mildred B. (Gray) Mason.

Linda was a longtime resident of Dracut, passing away in the home she grew up in. She was educated in the Dracut schools, graduating from Dracut High School in 1963. She attended Franconia College in Franconia, New Hampshire where she studied Liberal Arts.

Linda was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the WAC - Women's Army Corps from 1967 to 1968, as a medical Corpsman. She held the rank of E-3.

Her Hobbies included collecting and selling of antiques and collectables and attending to her flower gardens as well as feeding the various birds and other animals she felt were placed in her care by the Lord.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years and 5 months, Phillip G. Pernia, daughter and son in law Tabatha L. (Pernia) Macias and her husband Curt of California, daughter Celeste L. (Cobb) Taylor of Texas, daughter and son in law Laura L. (Pernia) Diefenderfer and her husband David of New Hampshire, son and daughter in law Phillip G. Pernia, II and wife Bridget Kelly Pernia of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Linda had a special affection for her many cats and dogs over the years, especially Midnight and Little Girl who passed away and Mason who remained by her side until her passing.
