DRACUT - Linda A. (Chaisson) O'Neil, 70, a longtime resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Lowell General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of William T. O'Neil, with whom she celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on April 9, 2018.
She was born in Lowell on November 25, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Maurice and Rita (Dion) Chaisson. She was a graduate of St. Louis Parochial School and St. Louis Academy, both in Lowell.
Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed for over 20 years as an administrative assistant at Middlesex Community College.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Dracut.
Linda was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and spending time in the company of her loving family and friends, especially her adoring grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Scott O'Neil and his wife Carol of Lowell, Pamela McMeniman and her husband Kenneth of Dracut, and Randy O'Neil and his wife Ann of Chelmsford; her seven grandchildren, Allison E. and William W. O'Neil, Erin L. and Sean G. McMeniman, Chase H., Tess K., and Liam M. O'Neil; and her sister, Gail M. Chaisson of Dracut.
ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Linda's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street in Lowell on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at. St. Francis Church in Dracut. Burial will be private.
