CHELMSFORD – Linda S. (Gagne) Desrosiers, 68, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Normand J. Desrosiers who died in 2011 and to whom she was married for 42 years.
She was born in Lowell on March 23, 1948, and was a daughter of the late Gerard R. and Wilda G. (Gagnon) Gagne. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School.
Prior to her illness, Linda was employed for 36 years by the Town of Chelmsford. Early in her career she was employed by the school department and most recently she was the food service manager for the Chelmsford Council on Aging at the Chelmsford Senior Center.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford. She was also a member of the Chelmsford Garden Club and the Chelmsford Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
Linda enjoyed working with the seniors and cherished the time that she spent with them. She loved to host and entertain family and friends.
Her passion was cooking and baking for others. She was well known for her delicious chowders. She also loved her animals, traveling, and gardening. She was very proud of the extensive vegetable and flower gardens throughout her yard.
She is survived by two sons, Dean Desrosiers of Chelmsford and Dana Desrosiers and his wife Jennifer of Pelham, NH; her daughter, Deann Olin and her husband Manuel of Londonderry, NH; six grandchildren, Justin, Mackenzie, and Sydney Olin and Aidan, Riley, and Teagan Desrosiers; a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Susan Gagne; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Maleski; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Janice Desrosiers; a sister-in-law Jeannette Desrosiers; a brother-in-law Normand Paquette; and many nieces and nephews.
