Lillian M. Wood, 85, of Dracut died Sunday January 20, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital- Saints Campus after a brief illness; She was surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of John F. "Teddy" Wood of Dracut with whom she was married for over 43 years.
Born in Lowell on November 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late James J. and Gertrude (Mason) Mullin.
For many years, Lillian was an active owner of WOOD Bros. Florist of Lowell. She was also a teacher and later, a volunteer, at the Hellenic Academy of Lowell. One of Lillian's favorite things was spending time with her husband, especially going to the Races at Rockingham Park. She adored children and cherished spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three brothers, James J. Mullin of Lowell, John H. Mullin and his wife, Edna of Tyngsboro, Lewis A. "Andy" Mullin of Lowell; a sister, Trudy Parece and her husband, Warren of Stoneham; Dear friends and sisters-in-law, Jill Mullin of Tewksbury , Lorraine Mullin of Pelham, NH, Margaret "Peggy" Wood Mahoney of Lowell, Mary (Wood) Callahan of Lowell; brothers-in-law, Dr. William B. Wood of Palm Beach, FL, Atty. Joseph V. Wood of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late
Peter J. Mullin and George F. Mullin.
