Lowell - Leo R. Brown, Jr. "Brownie", beloved husband of Anne E. (Lacasse) Brown, died Sunday March 15, 2009 at his Centralville residence surrounded by his family. He was 66.
Leo was born in Lowell on November 27, 1942, a son of the late Leo R. Brown, Sr. and Mildred (Niedzeila) Brown.
He was previously employed at GE and Pellon in Lowell, and was most recently employed at the Pollard Memorial Library in the messenger department.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Leo was an enthusiastic sports fan who always enjoyed engaging in conversation. He loved to travel and was an avid horseracing fan visiting Rockingham Park, and Suffolk Downs.
Surviving him besides his wife are three children, Karyn Carey and her husband Scott of Salem, Kate Brown of Chelsea, Ken Brown and his wife Jill of Quincy; two grandchildren, McKenzie and William Carey.
