LOWELL - Leo Robert Berard, age 70, a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell died Friday, June 29, 2018 following a brief illness.
He was born in Lowell on November 30, 1947, and was a son of the late Leo J. and Florence T. (Perron) Berard. He received his education in Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement, Leo was employed for many years as a printer for Sullivan Brothers Printing. Previous to that he had worked in the same capacity for Courier Citizen and Murray Printing.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Centralville Social Club in Lowell.
In his free time, Leo enjoyed camping, bowling, and spending time in the company of his family.
He is survived by three brothers, Raymond Berard and his wife Therese of Lowell, Roland Berard and his wife Rachel of Lowell, and Gerard Berard and his wife Lynne of Leesburg, FL; four sisters, Pauline Lankford and her husband James of Hudson, NH, Irene Sheehan and her husband William of Lowell, Teresa Berard of Lowell and with whom he resided, and Jeanne McNamara and her husband Paul of Dracut; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Berard of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
He was also the brother of the late Richard Berard.
ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Leo's Life Celebration at St. Francis Church in Dracut on Monday from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Due to a family member's allergies, please omit flowers. In lieu flowers, donations may be made in Leo's memory to the charity of one's choice.
