TRINITY, FL - Lauretta (Jacques) (Kay) Covelli, 92 of Trinity, Florida passed away on November 27, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was the cherished wife of Raymond P. Covelli and the late Robert D. Kay. Lauretta was born in Ware, MA on February 16, 1925 and was a long-time resident of Dracut before retiring to Florida in 1984.
No matter what Lauretta did, there's no question she did it with style. From her desk at Union National Bank in Lowell, to doubles matches on the tennis court, and over to the first tee of her golf course, Lauretta was the ultimate employee, neighbor, teammate, friend, and all around social butterfly. She held an affinity for the gaming classics- from cribbage to bingo- and thoroughly enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. The life of the party, she never met a dancefloor she didn't love- or leave easily for that matter. But perhaps her favorite moments and most coveted memories were those she spent at the very center of her family universe where she'd undoubtedly, and so proudly proclaim, "I created all this."
In addition to her husband Raymond, Lauretta is survived by her five children: Ronald Kay and his wife Karen of Naples, FL; Richard Kay and his wife Deborah of Tyngsboro, MA; Sandra Woolfall and her husband William of Novi, MI; Robin Kinney and her husband Scott of Charlotte, NC; and, Darlene Ducharme and her husband Richard of Dracut, MA. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Katy (Kay) Tester, Andrew (AJ) Kay, Kristy Kay, Courtney Kay, Jeff Woolfall, Kerry (Woolfall) Kammerer, Melissa Kinney, Adam Kinney, Megan Paro, Ashley Paro, Michael Ducharme and Kristen (Ducharme) Locke. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren: Alexandra (Alex) Kay Snyder, Cameron and Quinn Tester, Maya Kammerer, Connor and Jackson Ducharme, and Logan Locke. Lauretta is also survived by her sister Mildred O'Donnell of Largo, FL.
