Laura M. (Coutu) (Long) Fuller, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, beloved wife of the late Edward Long and the late William Fuller, died on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Lowell General Hospital - Saints Campus, surrounded by her family. She was 92.
Laura was born in Lowell on July 25, 1924, one of ten children born to the late Alfred Coutu and Marie (Prive) (Coutu) Caisse.
Prior to her retirement, Laura was employed as a medical assembler for Baird in Billerica.
Laura loved Lowell. She stayed in the same neighborhood most of her life.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening. Laura looked forward to playing cards at the Pelham Senior Center, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished the holidays and her birthday cookout when her family would all be together.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses, James and Cynthia Long of Dracut, Michael Long and Kenneth Aloisi of Lynnfield, Patricia and John Farrell of Seabrook, NH; a daughter in law, Pamela Long of Hampton NH; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Valerie, Allison, Edward III, Robert, Stephanie, Sean, Kathleen; three great grandchildren, Napoleon, Sadie, Giana; a sister, Gertrude Flaherty of Chelmsford; dear friends, Charles and Sue Landry of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Edward Long, Jr., and grandmother of the late James Long Jr.
