DRACUT – Kenneth J. Myers, 79, a resident of Dracut, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Lowell General Hospital. He was the long time companion of the late Shirley M. (Gagnon) (Leclair) Lagasse.
Born in Lawrence on August 26, 1933, he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Coulombe) Myers.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for the Hurley Packaging Company of Lawrence.
Mr. Myers was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and cards.
Kenny's most enjoyable time was traveling with Shirley. Their favorite destinations were Hawaii and Portugal.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cathy Myers of Methuen; two grandsons, Robert and Joshua Myers of Methuen; a step-daughter, Janet Cushion of Pepperell; six step-sons and their spouses, Denis A. and Linda Leclair of Dracut, Ernie and Cindy Leclair of Hudson, NH, Forrest J. Leclair of Dracut; Robert J. and Karen Leclair of Wolfeboro, NH, Mark J. and Sandra Leclair of St. Albans, VT and Henry M. Leclair and his partner Rhys Wyman of Windham, NH. He also leaves many step-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and a dear friend, Beryl Cleveland of Lowell. He was the step-father of the late David Leclair and step-grandfather of the late Matthew Leclair.
He was a brother of the late Chester, Wallace, Frank, Lionel, Roland, Robert, Rachelle, Walter, Rita, Anita and Donald, all were of Lawrence.
