Dracut – Kenneth R. Delisle, the beloved husband of Susan C. (Fitch) Delisle, died unexpectedly at his Dracut residence on Friday June 3, 2011. He was 80.
Ken was born in Lowell on February 18, 1931, a son of the late Lorenzo and Lorette (Gaudet) Delisle.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Navy.
Ken was a retired court officer for Middlesex County Superior Court. He was a communicant of the former Ste. Therese Church, where he served as a lector, was a member of the Men’s Club, and the former Ste. Therese Bowling League. He was recently a communicant of St. Francis Parish. He was a member of the Dracut Knights of Columbus.
During his military tenure, Ken played on the Navy baseball team. He was also one of the founders of the Dracut Men’s softball league in which he played for many years.
Ken enjoyed playing cards and played in several cribbage leagues. He liked playing golf, and really enjoyed all sports. Ken was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Ken loved to travel and traveled the world extensively with his wife Sue.
Surviving him besides his wife of 24 years are a daughter and a son in law, Debra and Paul Tsouprakakis of Dracut; a stepson Daniel Moore of Flower Mound, TX; a brother and sister in law, Roger and Marlene Delisle of Dracut; two step granddaughters, Katelyn Moore of Fitchburg, Riley Moore of Flower Mound, TX; several nieces and nephews, including his Godchild Donna White of Dracut. He was also the husband of the late Dolores (Steinberg) Delisle who died in 1983, and brother of the late Donald Delisle.
