Obituary
LOWELL - Keith T. Swanson, 45, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 14, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Lowell on August 11, 1960, he was a son of the late Norman E. Swanson and Therese I. (Ouellette) Swanson of Lowell who survives him.
Mr. Swanson served with the United States Navy from 1978 until 1982, serving aboard the USS Eisenhower as the administrative assistant to the chaplain.
While residing in Florida, he was a member of the Cape Coral Police force, two years as a patrolman and five years as a detective. While a patrolman he received the award Patrolman of the Year.
A proud resident of the City of Lowell, he was currently employed as a letter carrier by the Lowell Post Office and enjoyed visiting with all of the people on his route. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading about History, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a fan of all the local sports teams.
In addition to his mother he is survived by twin sons, Corey and Ryan Swanson of Cape Coral, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Kristen M. and Robert H. Atwood of Chelmsford; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael S. Swanson of Brighton and John E. and Karen M. (Robb) Swanson of Billerica; also several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was also a brother of the late Laurie A. Franchio.
