Katherine F. Draper

Katherine F. (Burley) Draper, age 85, died peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley of Billerica surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 47 years of the late Robert E. Draper, Sr., until his passing in 2008.

She was born in Everett, MA on June 22, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Mary (Roche) and James Burley. After raising her family, she worked as a machine operator for Wang Laboratories for over 10 years.

Katherine had a profound love for her family and cherished all their time spent together. She was also devoted to her faith and a long-time parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Pelham, NH.

She was an avid game show watcher and loved her westerns as well. She enjoyed bingo, was good at trivia and loved the adventures of her and Robert in their earlier years to upstate New York, Lake George and Bermuda.

Katherine is survived by her four daughters, Roberta Doukszewicz and her husband Edward of Chelmsford, Tracy Cordeiro and her husband Devin of Dracut, Michelle Fraser and her partner Jerry of Allenstown, NH, Kathryn Wool and her husband Frank of Manchester, NH; her three sons, Robert E. Draper, Jr. and his wife Juliann of Salem, NH, Bruce Draper and wife Eileen of Tewksbury and Ralph Doucette of Nashua, NH; her 19 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sally Brennan of Chelsea, Shirley Doucette of Everett and Donna Leviton of Revere; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Joseph Doucette, grandmother of the late Edward Doukszewicz IV and sister of the late Mary, John, James, Virginia, Joseph, Ralph, Edward and Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to Katherine’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, Pelham, NH. Burial to follow in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
