Boston - Kara N. Avila-Conlin, 35, passed away unexpectedly at the Boston Medical Center on Monday, May 14. She was the wife of Thomas Conlin.
Kara was born in Lowell on September 13, 1982, a daughter of the late Laverne F. (Carkin) Avila and is survived by her father and step-mother, Leo W. Avila, Jr. and Linda (Lovett) Avila of Lowell.
Kara was an avid reader and enjoyed time spent at the beach.
She is also survived by her beloved children, Kailyn Avila, a Sophomore at Greater Lowell Technical High School and Grady Avila, who is in the fourth grade at the Reilly School; a sister, Amy Carroll of Dracut; two brothers, Bryan Avila of Lowell and Thomas Avila of Dracut; her paternal grandfather, Leo W. Avila, Sr. of Hampden, NH; also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was a granddaughter of the late Mary Avila and Bruce and Connie Carkin.
AVILA-CONLIN - Relatives and friends are invited to Kara's Visitation on Friday, May 18, from 4 until 7:30 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Funeral Services will be offered in the Funeral Home at 7:30 PM.
