K. Lorraine (Sullivan) McKiel

K. Lorraine (Sullivan) McKiel, beloved wife of Robert D. McKiel, a resident of Hudson, NH, formerly of the Belvedere section of Lowell, died on Thursday March 27, 2014, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, following a period of declining health.
Born in Boston in 1932, she was a daughter of the late Hazel (Kelley) Sullivan.
Lorraine and Bob were married for almost 65 years and enjoyed the companionship of each other. They traveled extensively. Some of Lorraine's favorite places were Bermuda, San Francisco and Cape Cod which was a very special place for her and her family as they spent 37 years there.
Lorraine loved people. She enjoyed engaging conversation and entertaining with Bob whenever possible. Lorraine took pleasure in cooking, especially for her family who was paramount to her. She enjoyed their company and looked forward to spending time with them.
Surviving her besides her husband are her four children and their spouses, Robert D. McKiel, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Scott W. and Lori McKiel of Dracut, Glenn F. and Deborah McKiel of Beverly, Katherine R. and Paul Horwitz of Plymouth; a brother and sister in law Raymond and Josephine Timmons of Yarmouth; twelve grandchildren including Timothy McKiel of Lowell who was one of her caregivers, nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Russell Timmons.
