Joseph M. Vincent, 52, a Dracut resident, died Wednesday August 25, 2010 at his home as a result of complications of Diabetes related to Neuroendocrine Cancer of the pancreas.
He is survived by his wife, Carol A. (Vera) Vincent with whom he would have celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2010.
Born in Woburn on December 6, 1957, he was a son of Gerard G. and Kathleen L. (Barch) Vincent of Baldwinville, MA.
Joe was a 1976 graduate of Quabbin Regional High School in Barre, MA. In 1980, Joe graduated from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. In 1989, he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from The University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
For the past 18 years, Joe has been employed as a Senior Vice President and Controller at Framingham Cooperative Bank in Framingham, MA
He was an avid runner and an extreme New England sports fan. Joe will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his signature rock walls. He loved camping with his family and especially enjoyed spending time with the light of his life, his grandson, Aiden Joseph.
He was a member of the Dracut Lions Club, a member of the Massachusetts Bankers Association and a member and past president of the Financial Managers Society. Joe was an active parishioner of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include four children, Larissa, Greta, Luke and Hannah; a grandson, Aiden Joseph; eight siblings, Margaret O'Connell, Danielle Mulvey and her husband, Gordon, Tama Vincent, Pete Vincent and his wife Paula, John Vincent, Jamie Vincent, Leo Vincent and his wife Jenny, Lucille Vincent- Warner; his father-in-law, Lawrence Vera; a sister-in-law, Patricia Tassone and her husband, James; a brother-in-law, Steven Vera and his wife, Kim; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother, the late Sally Vincent and Thomas Vincent and he was a son-in-law of the late Elizabeth Vera.
