Joseph R."Bob" Lussier, beloved husband of the late Irene C. (Borbeau) Lussier, a resident of Pelham, NH passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 following a period of declining health. He was 89.
Born in Lowell on February 23, 1928, he was the last surviving child of Emil and Eva (Roux) Lussier.
Bob was a 1946 graduate of Dracut High School where he played football. His love of the game stayed with him his entire life, as he was an avid college and pro fan.
Following his graduation Bob enlisted in the US Army where he served during the end of WWII, attaining the rank of Tec 4.
Bob worked for many years until his retirement as a custodian for the former Colonial Gas Company.
Woodworking was his passion. Bob not only built his residence in Dracut, but also built a sailboat and unique pieces of furniture. He especially loved his summer cottage on Coffee Pond in Casco Maine. Bob also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in earlier years he was an ardent ballroom and square dancer.
Survivors include his three children and their spouses, Suzanne and Dennis Morin of Groton, Norman Lussier and Donna Groom of Malden, Renee and Derek Richardson of New Milford, CT; stepchildren and spouses, Paula and Randy Asselin of Belmont, NH, Eric Lindbloom of Northfield, NH, Kurt and Heidi Lindbloom of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, Elias and Aiden Richardson, Kerrie Jaskal and her husband Jason, Kristin Rustin and her husband Nick; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
