Joseph R. Lamothe

Joseph R. Lamothe, 88, a longtime Lowell resident, died Thursday September 6, 2012 at his Lowell residence. He was the husband of Anita (Froehner) Lamothe, with whom he would have celebrated 58 years of marriage in November.
Born in Lowell on April 24, 1924, He was a son of the late Joseph O. and Beatrice (Daneau) Lamothe.
During WWII, Joseph served in the United States Army earning the rank of Sergeant.
For more than 17 years, Joseph worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union. Later he went on to work at the former WANG laboratories, retiring as a machinist.
Joe was a lifetime member of the East End Club of Lowell.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Elaine Sylvester of Jupiter, FL, Donna Gregoire and her husband, Eugene of Litchfield, NH, Barbara Craig and her husband, William of Pelham, NH, Deborah Kress of Aynor, SC, Anita Chartier of Lowell, Joseph B. Lamothe of Lowell; three step children, Connie Golen of North Chelmsford and her companion, Robert Hopkins, James Carroll and his wife, Cathy of Cincinnati, OH, Ronald Carroll and his companion, Lorraine Catman of Leominster; four brothers, Robert, Maurice, Raymond and Roger; two sisters, Lorraine and Beatrice; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
He was the father-in-law of the late Michael Kress and brother of the late Alice and Gloria.
