Joseph L. Harvey

Dracut- Joseph L. Harvey, 73, died June 23 at New England Medical Center as a result of a pedestrian car accident which occurred on May 25th. He was the husband of the late Irene R (Lorrain) who died February 24, 2005.
Born in Lowell on June 9, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph and Delia (Poudrier) Harvey. He was educated in Lowell schools and entered the Army in 1952.
Mr Harvey retired from Jeanne d'Arc Credit Union as a Vice President in 2001. He was also a Branch Manager of Union National Bank. A communicant of Ste Therese Church in Dracut for many years, he also was a charter member, Paul Harris Fellow and Past Treasurer of the Dracut Rotary Club, Charter member of the Franco American male choir since 1948, Past Treasurer of the Dracut Scholarship Foundation from which he received the Director Emeritus Award, past Treasurer for the Heart Fund and March of Dimes for the town of Dracut. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
Surviving him are a son and daughter in law, Richard and Paulette Harvey and a daughter, Susan Neary all of Hudson, NH; a grandson, Eric Harvey of Fall River and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Neary of Washington, DC; a sister, Blanche Krapian of Nashua a sister in law and two brothers in law, Ruth and Gerard Vandette of Tewksbury and Raymond Hall of CT; also several nieces and nephews.
