Lowell - Joseph P. Ducharme, was born in Lowell on July 31, 1939, beloved son of the late Joseph Ducharme and Marie (Proulx) (Ducharme) Tellier. He was the loyal and devoted husband of Patricia (Duffy) (Jordan) Ducharme, the LOVE of his life for the past 37 years , who survives him.
On September 2, 2016, at the age of 77, Moe received his reward after a courageous battle with cancer. He fought like a soldier until he entered eternal peace, free of pain and now at eternal rest. He had a strong will and deep religious convictions as he was a faithful parishioner of St. Michael Church in Lowell. He appreciated all of the blessings from the clergy.
Moe attended Lowell Public Schools. He worked at the Lowell Foundry and also Fletcher Granite Co., Westford for 40 years before retiring in 2008.
Moe was a life member of the Lowell Sportsmen Club, a member of the Stonybrook Fish and Game, the Trapshooting Association of Massachusetts, ATA, and the Greater Lowell Trap League. He also enjoyed skydiving. Moe loved to spend time with his wife at their second home in Largo, FL and driving his Mazda MX5 with the "Mr. Moe" license plates.
Besides his loving and caring wife he is survived by his former wife Caroline (Ducharme) Landry of Williamstown; two sons and daughters in law, Kevin and Cheryl Ducharme, Kenneth and Jeannie Ducharme, all of Pittsfield; a stepson Michael Jordan of Lowell; two very much loved stepdaughters, Kathleen (Jordan) Oljey and her husband Kevin, Debra Jordan and her fiancee John, all of Lowell; 11 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family and friends. Moe was also predeceased by his son and daughter in law Dennis and Kathy (Krawczyk) Ducharme, several siblings, and his dogs Snoopy and Bruno.
