Joseph Raymond Bisson

June 3, 1928 — June 27, 2017

Joseph Raymond Bisson peacefully passed away at his home on June 27, 2017. A loving and devoted husband to Pauline A. (Bevins) Bisson. Ray and Pauline enjoyed 65 years of marriage together and showed others what a wonderful and loving marriage the rest of us can only strive for. Ray was born on June 3, 1928 to the late Marie Ann (Riendeau) Demers and Joseph Herve Bisson and enjoyed his 89 years of life by always being positive and finding the best in everyone he ever met. He was a loving father to his sons, the late Warren "Butch" Bisson and his wife Pamela Bisson of Pepperell, and Mark Bisson and his wife Karyn Bisson of Bedford, NH who will all miss him very dearly. His grandchildren, Bryan Bisson and his husband Phil Stapp of Indianapolis, IN, Brendan Costa of Pepperell, Camden Bisson of Arlington, VA and Drew Joseph Bisson of Bedford, NH will forever have fond memories of their Pépère, that will bring them happiness whenever they think of him. Ray was the younger brother of the late Harvey Bisson and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives throughout the country.
Nothing made him happier than being with family, listening to his old Al Jolson records, his Red Sox and classic old movies. A veteran of the Korean conflict, Ray bravely served his country as a corporal in the US Army. Ray worked for years at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, and made many friends during his time there. He was a member of the VFW Walker - Rogers Post 662 and the Franco American Veterans. Ray would often say, "It is so easy to be nice, I don't understand why people aren't?" Ray's smile and kind words will be missed by all those who had the good fortune to have known him and have richer lives because of him.
