Jose D. Medeiros

LOWELL - Jose D. Medeiros, age 59, a resident of Lowell died Monday, December 10, 2018 at Boston Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Margarida Martins, to whom he was married for 38 years.

He was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal on November 18, 1959, and was a son of the late Antonio Medeiros and Silvana Bernardo. He immigrated to the United States with his wife and four children at the age of 43.

Jose was a hard worker and most recently was employed as a maintenance worker in the the construction industry.

He loved his family, especially his adoring grandchildren, and would do anything for them. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and helping her to prepare meals for the family.

In addition to his wife, Jose is survived by his son, Luis Medeiros of Lowell; his three daughters, Regina Medeiros and her husband Rodrigo Couto, Sandra Medeiros and her husband Marco Costa, and Joana Medeiros, all of Lowell; six grandchildren, JC Couto, Kayla Couto, Brianna Couto, Mariana Costa, Julianna Costa, and Ariana Costa; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jose's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM.
