Jose P. Gomes

Jose P. Gomes, 79, of Lowell passed away Thursday January 22, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Margarida (Rodrigues) Gomes of Lowell, MA.
Born in Portugal on September 3, 1935, he was a son of the late Jose M. and Maria E. (Perreira) Gomes.
Jose was a retired mechanic that enjoyed family and fishing and was an avid soccer fan. He served in the military and played for the Lusitania club in Terceira, Acores.
In addition to his wife, Margarida Gomes of Lowell, MA Jose is survived by his daughters Ana (Gomes) and her husband Antonio Aguiar of Lowell, MA and Madalena Gomes and her husband Joaquin Barrientos of Dracut,MA, his son Duarte Gomes and his spouse Cyndy Hall of Hudson, NH; his grandchildren: Sabrina (Aguiar) and her husband, Manuel Otero of Nashua, NH, Kyle Aguiar and his fiancee, Valerie Brown of Milford, NH, Nicole (Hunt) and her husband, TJ Silva of Lowell, Rachel Hunt of Lowell, Brandon Barrientos and Ryan Barrientos of Dracut, Mackenzie Gomes of Lowell and Devin Gomes of Hudson, NH; his siblings, Manuel and wife Diamantina Gomes of Lowell and Fernanda (Gomes) and her husband Henry of Lowell, MA.He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
