John H. Mccann

Fort Pierce, FL - John H. McCann, 86, a resident of Ft. Pierce, Florida for the last 20 years, died Friday, November 24, 2006 in a local nursing home.
Born in Lowell on October 17, 1920, he was a son of the late Henry A. and Sophina (White) McCann.
A former resident of Dracut, Mr. McCann was a graduate of Dracut High School.
He served as a Military Police Officer with the United States Army Air Force during World War II and received the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal and the American Theater Campaign Ribbon.
Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was the owner/operator with his partner Edward T. Ayotte of J & J Heating and Air Conditioning in Dracut since 1971.
While living in Fort Pierce, FL he enjoyed gardening, taking care of his orange and grapefruit trees and watching Nascar.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and a cousin, Irene Dancause of Pelham, NH. Also dear friends, Edward and Doris Ayotte of Dracut.
He was a brother of the late Earl McCann and Louise Leary.
