LOWELL- John W. Krawczyk, age 86, a lifetime resident of Lowell died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Grenier) Krawczyk, to whom he was married for 60 years.
He was born in Lowell on October 23, 1934, and was the son of the late Louis and Helen (Kuczarski) Krawczyk.
He received his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1952, where he was a Boy Officer.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Throughout his career, he was employed as a dispensing optician for several local area eye doctors.
John enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, and watching all the Boston sport's teams, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
John's greatest joy in life was spending time in the company of his loving family including his faithful Miniature Schnauzer, Lilli.
He was a member of the East End Club and the Polish American Veterans Club, both in Lowell.
John was extremely handy and could fix just about anything, whether it was carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Paul Barbosa and Sharleen and Mark Miele, all of Dracut; three grandchildren, Aaron Barbosa, Adam Barbosa, and Kaitlyn Miele, all of Dracut; Sister-in-law, Valerie Grenier of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Louis Krawczyk and Louise Sedlesky.
It being his wish, there will be no visitation and services are private. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
