John D. Jack Knox

John D. Jack Knox III, 61, a longtime Lowell resident, formerly of Chelmsford, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, February 23, 2010 at Saints Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Carmen L. (Coutu) Knox.
Born in Lowell on February 20, 1949, he was the son of the late John D. Knox II and Angelina (Pizza) Knox.
Jack grew up in Chelmsford where he attended Chelmsford public schools and was actively involved in theatre. Over the years, Jack evolved into a talented and accomplished musician. His love of music and entertainment lead him to his most favored career and lifelong passion as a singer and showman for the musical group The Continentals. Jack and The Continentals entertained thousands throughout the years at numerous venues, including the Seashell at Hampton Beach, where Jack became known as the "voice of Hampton Beach", Mount Washington dinner cruises on Lake Winnipesauke, American Postal Workers Union's bi-annual conventions held in Anaheim, Detroit and Los Angeles, the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas, decades of New Years Celebrations at the Ashworth by The Sea, and many charitable events.
Jack's outgoing personality and love of people was exemplified throughout his life and further reflected in his many career achievements. In addition to his dedication to music he was also the successful owner and operator of KW Entertainment and Director of Sales for Madison Securities.
Jack was very active in his community, serving on several boards including the Lowell Zoning Board of Appeals. Jack was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Jack is survived by his five daughters, Deborah Brunelle and her husband David Brunelle of Florida, Cheryl Wochnik of Florida, Rhonda Gingras of Lancaster, Brianna Knox of Lowell, Krysta Knox of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Kristen Gingras, Joseph Fortunati, Nicholas Fortunati, Kayla Bibeau, Caryssa Lumbard, Corey Wochnik, Tyla Cheney and Madison Bibeau.
