SALEM,NH- John E. Jordan, Sr., 65, husband of Patricia A. (LaBrecque) Jordan, formerly of Lowell and a resident of this town for the past 12 years, died Tuesday morning at the Parkland Hospital in Derry following a long battle with cancer.
Born in Billerica on March 17, 1939, he was a son of the late Daniel and Helen ( ) Jordan. He received his education in the Billerica School System.
Prior to his retirement due to illness, Mr Jordan had been employed as a custodian in the
Salem NH High School for 8 years. He had previously worked for numerous fence companies, the most recent being S&D Fence of Dracut, Ray's Fence Co and Soucy Wire and Iron Works.
Surviving him beside his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 44th Anniversary on April 30 of this year, are a daughter, Catherine Quinones and her husband Orlando of Lowell; two sons, John E. Jordan, Jr. of Nashua and James Jordan of Lowell; two brothers, Donald Jordan and his wife Carole of Billerica, and Robert Jordan of Watertown, MA; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Perkins of Willimantic, CT; also four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; his best friends, Chi-Chi and Byrd. He was the brother of the late Claire Duke and Joan Plouffe.
