John W. "Jack" Harding, 66, a long time resident of Sandwich, died Wednesday July 24, 2013 following a long term illness. He was the husband of the late Cheryl A. Green.
Born in Lowell on January 14, 1947, he was a son of the late William T. and Doris L. (Fisher) Harding.
Jack was a well known bartender in the Lowell area having started his career at the former Tree House at Tewksbury Health Club moving on to work at the North Meadow Tennis Club in Tewksbury, then to the Loft in Andover and finally Fitzwilly's in Lowell. He then moved to Lantana, Florida where he was the owner of Mickey's Lounge until his retirement.
Jack was an avid Red Sox fan and loved sailing. He was most happy spending time by the ocean in southern Maine.
He is survived by a daughter, Elysia Pappalardo and her husband, Jarrod of Londonderry, NH; his grandchildren Jordan Pappalardo, Jami and Ryli Pappalardo of Londonderry, NH; his brother, Robert T. Harding and his wife, Dolores; a nephew, Laurence R. Harding; a niece Patricia A. Harding; a grand nephew, Justin Harding all of Nashua, NH; aunts, uncles, many cousins and dear friends.
