Dracut - John F. Gumbris, 91, husband of Mary M. (Ford) Gumbris, died Thursday April 7, 2005 at his Dracut residence.
He was born in Dracut on February 17, 1914, a son of the late William and Dora (Cassidy) Gumbris.
Mr. Gumbris was a WWII veteran having served in the Navy aboard the USS. Ticonderoga . He was a retired welder having been employed by the Boston Naval Shipyard, he was also a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut.
Survivng him besides his wife are three daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Thomas Sheridan of Buffalo, Texas, Carol and Jerry Davidson of Dracut, Mary and John Brady of Lowell; a sister Theresa Johansan of Dracut; six grandchildren, Thomas Sheridan, Daniel Sheridan, Ryan Sheridan, Scott Davidson, John Davidson, Courtney Murphy; four great grandchildren, Nicole Sheridan, James Sheridan, James Murphy and Kayla Davidson.
He was also the brother of the late William, Francis, and James Gumbris, and Blanche Markham .
