John B. Flemings, Jr., a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell and the beloved husband of the late Virginia A. (Dumais) Flemings, died on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. He was 70.
John was born and educated in Lowell on August 15, 1944, a son of the late John B. and Anastasia (Kyriazis) Flemings.
He worked for 25 years in the electronics industry as an electronics assembler. He later worked for 5 years at the Greater Lowell Technical High School in the maintenance department.
John enjoyed television and movies and had a vast collection. He also collected eagles and white tigers. John was a hard core Bingo enthusiast and participated in games two or three times a week. He was also a passionate Red Sox and Patriots fan. John enjoyed traveling, especially with his son John where they would visit various ball parks throughout the country. Family was paramount to John, he loved to go out to dinner with them. He was especially devoted to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his three children and their spouses, Christopher B. and Jillian Flemings of Hudson, NH, Anastasia K. and Paul Snow of Lowell, John B. Flemings III of Lowell; three grandchildren, Kaden, Elizabeth, Ellianna; two sisters and a brother, Mary Ann and Samuel Boldeia of Londonderry, NH, Leonard and Marcia Flemings of Hampton, NH, Charlene F. and Alberto Pires of Chelmsford; several nieces and nephews including his Godchildren Michelle and Joey, and his beloved dog Buster.
