Obituary
Lowell - John Finnegan, 78, a Lowell resident, husband of Lorraine Y. (Byron) Finnegan with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2005, died Sunday, February 26, 2006, in a local nursing home.
Born in Belfast, N. Ireland on March 7, 1927, he was a son of the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Robinson) Finnegan.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by McCord Winn of Winchester, MA.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Jean Ann Forrence and her husband Wayne of Nashua, NH and Colleen Dubuc and her husband William of Dracut; two sons, David Finnegan and his companion Linda Poulin of Dracut and Daniel Finnegan and his wife Lisa (Dubuc) of Palm Coast, FL; two brothers, Hugh Finnegan and his wife Marese of Belfast, N. Ireland and Daniel Finnegan and his wife Irene of Shannon, Ireland; three sisters, Maureen MaGennis and her husband Daniel, Agnes Darby and her husband William and Anne Mason and her husband Brendan, all of Belfast, N. Ireland; four grandchildren, Brandi Finnegan and Daniel Finnegan II, both of Palm Coast, FL and Kevin Dubuc and Emily Dubuc, both of Dracut; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late David Finnegan, Philomena Pelan and Joan Gilligan.
