Lowell - John F. “Buddy” Brady, the beloved husband of Mary V. (Gumbris) Brady, died peacefully at his Lowell residence surrounded by his loving family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 72.
Buddy was born in Lowell on April 26, 1938 a son of the late John P. and Louise (Roscoe) Brady.
He attended Lowell Schools and in earlier years worked as a crane operator for Corey Crane. Buddy retired from the Raytheon Corporation as a spot welder.
He was a communicant of St. Rita Parish, and had served in the United States Navy.
Buddy was an ardent sports fan, especially following the Patriots, Red Sox, and boxing. He also had a passion for horse racing and would visit Rockingham Park whenever he had the opportunity. He enjoyed traveling, but most of all cherished the time surrounded by his family and friends.
Surviving him besides his wife are two sons and daughters in law, John P. and Kim Brady of Amherst, NH, Kevin D. and Christine Brady of Lowell; two daughters, Erin Brady of Milford, NH and Colleen Brady of Lowell; eight grandchildren; a brother and sister in law, Daniel P. and Pauline Brady of Nashua, NH; two sisters, Louise Adkins of FL, Gerry Graham of Dracut; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends
