John G. Barry

North Andover- John G. Barry Jr., 77, beloved husband of Theresa I. (Guilmette) Barry died Sunday May 20, 2007 at his North Andover residence.
Born in Cambridge on February 12, 1930 he was a son of the late John G. and Therese C. (Wright) Barry. John grew up and attended school in Andover and later graduated from Merrimack College.
Prior to his retirement Mr. Barry was employed as a programmer and systems analyst for Data General and then Raytheon.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus- Council #1078 in Andover.
John was and avid sports fan. He enjoyed coaching his children in baseball, and playing hockey and baseball. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Surviving him besides his wife are four children, Michael J. Barry of North Andover, Brian R. Barry and his wife Sharon of Andover, David P. Barry of Lowell, Leanne J. Barry of North Andover; two grandchildren, Zachary Barry and Kaitlyn Barry; two sisters and a brother in law, Joan and Charles Bascom of Salem, NH, Jacqueline Steinert of MD; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Mark A. Barry.
