Joanne Dunn, age 54, died in peace at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on February 25, 1967, she is survived by her parents John and Jeannine (Morin) Dunn of Dracut; her children, Jordyn Maree Hoar, Zachary Paul Hoar and his partner Grace Downing, Jacob Samuel Hoar; and a granddaughter, Zoie Anne Vizcarrondo-Petros, all of whom she loved so very much; sisters, Elaine Ouellette and her husband Ralph of Tyngsboro and Karen Kane and her husband Jerry of Lyman, Maine; and a brother, Steven Dunn and his wife Kerrie (O'Keefe) of Lowell; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins, along with her long-time partner and friend, Jonathan Cadwgan, of Ayer. Also survived by her very best friend, Kathleen (Morowski) Roth and Paul Hoar, former spouse and father of her children.
Joanne grew up in Dracut and graduated from Dracut High School in 1985. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs School, Boston and most recently received her Associate of Science in Healthcare Administration, with high honors, from Middlesex Community College. She spent the majority of her career working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, most recently as Patient Financial Service Representative at Atrius Health, Concord.
Joanne will be lovingly remembered for her incredible strength and unending sense of humor, even during the darkest of days. She was a fabulous cook, hosting many family gatherings. She enjoyed making jewelry, biking and going to the beach. She will be missed by her family and her many friends and colleagues.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joanne's Memorial Visitation at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, on Wednesday from 4 until 7 PM with a prayer service to be offered at 7 PM. Due to health restrictions, face coverings and social distancing are required.
