Dracut- Joanne A. Cormier, 57, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at Saints Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Lowell on February 18, 1948, she was a daughter of Irene (Lussier) Cormier of Dracut and the late Real A. (Ralph) Cormier. She attended Ste. Therese Elementary, St. Louis Academy and Lowell State Teachers' College. Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was a second grade teacher at the Sherburne School in Pelham for 33 years. Her greatest pastime was reading and she loved animals.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard F. and Mary Cormier of Townsend, Paul D. and Obe Cormier of Newton, NC; a sister, Suzanne A. Cormier of Methuen; two nieces, Michelle and Kristina Cormier both of Townsend; an aunt, Sister Lucille Cormier,asv of Worcester and an uncle, Raymond Lussier of Dracut.
