LOWELL - Joann I. (Kelleher) Seamans, 78, a resident of Lowell, passed away on
Monday, April 2, 2018, at a local healthcare facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Seamans, Jr..
Born in Lowell on March 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Finnegan) Kelleher.
Mrs. Seamans retired with the position of Matron from the Lowell Police Department following 33 years of service, with the final rank of Sergeant.
She was a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club. An avid Bingo player, she enjoyed playing at the Immaculate Conception Bingo and St. John the Evangelist Bingo.
She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell.
Mrs. Seamans is survived by a son, Frederick J. Seamans, III, of Orange; two grandchildren, Jennifer Sullivan of Lowell and Nicole McNeal and her husband Devin of Orange; a great grandson, Cole McNeal; a brother, Thomas Kelleher and his wife Betty of Chelmsford; a sister, Mary Houle and her husband Jerry of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews.
SEAMANS - Relatives and friends are invited to Joann's visitation on Tuesday morning from 9 until 10:15 AM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be private.
