LOWELL – Joan F. (Coste) Strobel, 59, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was the former wife of the late William H. Strobel.
Born in Malden on January 29, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Charles Coste and Jane (Carty) Coste of Reading who survives her.
Joan was raised in Billerica and was a graduate of Billerica High School, Class of 1971.
In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at the Dracut American Legion.
In addition to her mother she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise M. and David A. Steward and Danielle M. Strobel and her companion Brian Marcoux, all of Lowell; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Edith and Richard Krasenics of Townsend and Deborah and Edmond D'Arville of Apopka, FL; a sister-in-law, Susan Coste of Tewksbury; 5 grandchildren, William Furman, Megan and Cara Steward, Morgan and Devon Marcoux; also several nieces and nephews. She was the companion of the late Ronald Maille and sister of the late Charles Coste, Jr. and Douglas Coste.
