Joan Virginia (Gonzales) Paulitzky, 78, a Chelmsford resident and former resident of Tewksbury & Lowell passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Lahey Clinic following a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late James G. Paulitzky.
Born in Medford on August 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William P. Gonzales and Lena M. (Caruso) Gonzales. She was educated in Medford schools having graduated from Medford High School in 1954.
Joan retired, after 40 years, as a Sr. Inventory Planner at Houghton Mifflin Co. of Boston.
She was a member at the Lowell Assembly of God and was a volunteer at the Bedford and Chelmsford Senior Center for many years. She summered on Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH. She loved family gatherings and spending with her children. She was an avid supporter of many charities.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Josephine (Ricci) & David Blodgett of Ft. Meyers, FL, Donna & Donald Vallois of Dracut, William & Lisa Paulitzky of Winchendon, Eugene Horeczy of Lowell; grandchildren, William & Michael Ricci, Nicole, Erik, Jillian & Melissa Paulitzky, Jason & Sheila Vallois; great grandchildren, Thomas Panek, Lucas Vallois; her long-time companion Ronald Davis of Bedford, MA; sisters and brother-in-law, John & Mary Wilkins of Cleveland, OH, Roseanne Franzinger of Rocky River, OH; a dear family friend, David Stanley and many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward C. Gonzales.
