Joan E. (Harley) Boucher … Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother
LOWELL - Joan E. (Harley) Boucher, 91, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Joan was also a cancer survivor, having beaten breast cancer on two different occasions. She was the wife of the late Wilfred A. Boucher.
Born in Lowell on December 4, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna (Joubert) Harley.
Prior to her retirement, Joan was employed by Raytheon Corp. in their Andover and Tewksbury facilities.
She enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandmother in the Lowell School System.
She leaves three daughters, Sharon Fournier and her husband Michael of Nashua, NH, Sheila Quinn and her husband Edward of Melbourne, FL and Tracy “Dottie” Boucher of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Amy McCormack and her husband Matthew, Crystal Young, Tara Adams and her husband Tyrone, Jennifer Allerheiligen, Amanda Hoffman, Michael Fournier and Lacey Goulet; also several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Kimberly Bates and sister of the late Edward Harley.
Joan’s family would like to thank the nurses of Beacon Hospice who provided her with compassionate care, Grace, Jackie and Amarilis.
