Lifelong Dracut resident: avid gardener
DRACUT – Jennifer A. “Jennie” (Kinder) Farrell, 88, a lifelong resident of Dracut, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at a local nursing home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late John L. Farrell.
Born in Dracut on December 13, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Bomila) Kinder.
Mrs. Farrell grew up on her family’s farm which was located in the Kenwood section of Dracut. She attended Dracut Schools and was the Valedictorian of her graduating class from Dracut High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the E.N. Roger’s Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford as a nurse’s aide.
An avid gardener, Mrs. Farrel enjoyed planting flowers, plants and vegetables.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Martha Farrell of Lowell; four grandsons, Timothy Farrell of NH, Christopher Farrell of Lowell, Ronald “Beau” Farrell of Nashua, NH and Jacob Farrell of Laconia, NH; seven great grandchildren, Timothy “T.J.” Farrell, Christopher Gagnon, Tyler Farrell, Zackarie Farrell, Kodie Farrell, Krystal Farrell and Joshua Farrell; three great grandchildren, Emma-Rose Farrell, Lillian Brunet and Gabriella Farrell; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and lifelong friends. She was the mother of the late Timothy Farrell and sister of the late John and Francis Kinder.
